Insh
Hall Lodge offers very comfortable en-suite accommodation
and is situated just 150 meters from the beach of scenic
Loch Insh. Set in the wooded foothills of the cairngorms,
Insh Hall Lodge is ideal for a walking, cycling or Boating
holiday; or just for relaxing and enjoying the scenery
!

Breakfast
is served in the Boathouse restaurant for guests and the
restaurant then is open from 1Oam onwards till 10pm for
bar snacks during the day and al la carte dinning in the
evening last orders are at 9pm. The quarter deck bar is
also open through out the day and we hold a full bar licence
as well as a hotel licence. |
| The
twin and double en-suite rooms are small but cosy for couples,
and family rooms consist of twin beds and a bunk bed with
en-suite facilities too. All en-suite rooms are available
with tea and coffee making equipment and a TV. Other facilities
on site include a Sauna, a Mini Gym, a table tennis area,
Laundry facilities, and down at the beach, Beach volleyball,
Football and Basketball areas. We now also have three children’s
play areas around the grounds at the beach and an interpretive
board walk which leads off site. This takes you to the Insh
marshes nature reserve and beyond giving a great insight
into the flora and fauna to be found and a brief history
of the area. There are endless options for walks and bike
routes from 1km upwards. Please ask for advice from our resident
instructors on where to go. Remember bikes can be hired on
site too. the Scottish Tourist Board has rated Insh Hall
as 1star for Bed and Breakfast. |

activities. However we offer great rates for packages including

| As
part of the same facilities is Loch Insh Watersports Centre
rated by the Scottish tourist board as a 4star visitor attraction,
has many things to offer if you are staying with us in Insh
Hall. Guests staying more than 1 night can use all the Watersports
equipment at the beach for free in set times 8.30-10.00am
and 4.00-5.30pm and similarly in the winter when the Loch
freezes over guests can stay and use the on site Dry ski
slope for free in the set times too. And get 25% off ski
hire prices. Loch Insh Watersports was recently voted best
on the water facility in Scotland and also best small business
in the highlands in 2000. |
| Don’t
forget that the Bosuns locker gift shop is now recited in
the old Ptarmigan restaurant building off the top of cairngorm
and sells everything from postcards to windsurfers and a
delicious selection of Scottish fayre. This can be found
down near the boathouse restaurant and is open from 9am till
5pm. |
| Aviemore
is just 7 miles to the north and Kingussie is 7 miles to
the south. Both have many other restaurants, shops and attractions.
Kincraig is 3⁄4 of a mile away on the other side of
the Loch it has a post office, shop and restaurant. |
| Fuel
can be sourced 24hours a day in Aviemore or during daylight
hours in Newtonmore which is 10miles south of Loch Insh on
the way down the A9. |
| The
Cairngorms are a 1⁄2 hour drive. Ben Nevis 1 1⁄2
hours drive and Braemar 2 hours drive. |
